Jane Jensen’s New Singles “Changeling” and “Revolution Maker” Deliver Messages of Change

Jane Jensen’s music never ceases to amaze her listeners. Industrial music is the thread that weaves her signature sound together, grounding her mind and music. She just released her album, Changeling, a compilation of two new songs, “Changeling” and “Revolution Maker,” each remixed with a dark wave and synth pop version.

Lyrically speaking, “Changeling” and “Revolution Maker” differ each other with “Changeling” focusing on changing the self and “Revolution Maker” focusing on universal change. Both songs embody a hopefulness and a sense of rebirth. Musically speaking, “Changeling” is intense with a gothic and glitchy beat and an alt rock undertone. “Revolution Maker” has a machine-like glitchiness to it with a punk rock vibe that embodies an urgency that “Changeling” doesn’t have.

“‘Changeling’ and ‘Revolution Maker’ are like sister songs,” shares Jane. “‘Changeling’ focuses on changing the self and ‘Revolution Maker’ is a hope for Universal change, for something better for everyone. Both of these songs were developed during the pandemic. I wrote ‘Changeling’ and re-wrote it again and again until I felt it hit that emotional spot I needed to fill. The song means a lot to me for my own development as a person and as a producer. ‘Revolution Maker’ was a collaboration with Marc and Eric Klee Johnson. They invited me to be a back-up singer in their New Wave band back when I was in high school. The rest is history. Writing music is a magical process but working with dear friends is pure icing.”

These songs not only have you dancing, but she also has you contemplating your own life and where you are in it. Her music fills you with a feeling of strength, that you can take anything on. Her songwriting is deliberate and dynamic. She delivers excellent music that’s masterfully crafted.
