Singer/songwriter Jane Jensen just released her own alternative version of musical meditation, Enchant, an album to take people away from their troubling thoughts and fill them with peace. The creation of this album helped Jensen to get through the pandemic and other personal struggles she went through in the past year, and in her own words, “I hope you love this album. I hope you can disappear into it, for a little break in the routine. Whether you chant along or just listen, I hope Enchant takes you out of reality or your own head for just a little bit of time. I hope it might distract you from troubles and anxiety. I wish you health and happiness”. Jane Jensen did a fantastic job by creating Enchant and providing a beautiful escape from reality.

For the lyrics, aside from English, Jensen used Aramaic, Sanskrit, Tamil, and Hebrew. She chose to do this because those languages hold no sort of emotional baggage to her and provide healing emotions. The instrumentation, which heavily features Jensen’s nylon string German lute, Goldeee, explores all of the different aspects of what meditation music can make someone feel. Songs like “Across the Water, Avalon” have swelling instrumental sections that surround you in feelings of joy and empowerment. Other songs, like “It’s You I Love - Ambient” have a more fantasy and mythical feeling when it comes to both the instruments used and the rhythm Jensen utilizes in her lyrical flow. No matter what kind of music people find calming, they will find something to quell nerves on Enchant

If Enchant  is not already in your mediation playlist, add it immediately! I love what Jensen was able to create with this album and I will be joining her meditation class when it launches in the Fall.
